    • Q: What's required?

      A: A SIM card with an active data plan from a GPRS network.

    • Q: Why do I need a data plan if the GPS network is free?

      A: Our watch can log onto the Global Positioning System for free, but in order to send this information to the parent's cell phone, data usage is required.

    • Q: How long does the battery last?

      A: Battery life is dependent on usage, but rest assured that even with heavy usage, our battery will last the entire day. And while its very possible that our battery could last 2-3 days, we strongly recommend charging it nightly, just to make sure.

    • Q: My cell phone provider is AT&T, Airtel, Vodafone, Etisalat can I use Tracko Tracker?

      Yes. Our devices operate independently from the parent's phone. So even though Tracko Tracker requires a SIM card from a GPRS compatible network (We recommend Speedtalkmobile.com) parents can use any network (AT&T, Airtel, Vodafone, Etisalat Verizon, Sprint, etc.) and still track or communicate with Tracko Tracker.

    • Q: I have a Windows Phone, can I use it with Tracko Tracker?

      A: No. At the moment our app is supported by the Android and iOS operating systems.

    • Q: How much data does your GPS watch use?

      A: If your Tracko Tracker is used daily, you'll use about 15-25 MBs of data per month. This includes data for locating your child's position, and sending 'voice chats', back and forth with the tracker.

    • Q: How many contacts does the GPS watch store?

      A: You can program up to 15 names and numbers in the watch's phonebook. Your child simply swipes the touchscreen and taps on the desired contact to place a call.

    • Q: What is the range?

      A: As our GPS watches work on a mobile network, there is no range. As long as your watch is connected to the cell phone network, you can interact with it: across the street or halfway across the world!

    • Q: What countries does it work in?

      A: Our GPS watch can work in countries all over the world, but please be advised if you leave your home country, there will be roaming charges. It works just like your mobile phone.

    • Q: Notification and Alerts?

      A: Notifications and Alerts are sent directly to your App and Online Portal. You can also request for these to be sent via SMS however for this feature you will require an SMS pack. You can purchase this within the accessories on the purchase page.

    • Q:What is the accuracy of GPS positioning?

      A: The device can provide 2 to 10 meters accurate GPS positioning. But it’s based on the environment of the device. The accuracy could be affected by could, rain, snow etc.

    • Q:How does the SOS button work?

      A: By pressing the button for around 3 seconds, this will alert up to all mobile phone numbers you have allocated to the position of the tracker. It will also send an alert to the tracking platform if someone is monitoring and therefore assistance can be summoned immediately. This function is only effective if someone has been notified, or allocated, to the fact that they might receive a request for assistance and have the means to react.
